THE NEW LINK WATER SENSE WC

In answer to the growing necessities of the market, Ceramica Flaminia has decided to invest in a new production project, dedicated exclusively to North American and Canadian customers, which involves one of the most famous collections in the history of design in the bathroom sector: Link.

The sanitaryware line, designed in 1999 by Giulio Cappellini and Roberto Palomba, is enhanced by a new wall hung wc model, maintaining the pure and neutral design that identifies this series and distinguishes the European Link toilets and bidets, but with different characteristics in accordance with North American technical regulations.

The main feature of the new wc is the greater width of the bowl which guarantees full compliance with North American and Canadian regulations. It is, in fact, a product designed and manufactured specifically in observance of the standards of the these countries.

WATER SENSE

Another plus of the North Amercian version of the Link wc is its low water consumption. The techincal adaptions implemented followed the IAPMO water systems certification program and obtained the Water Sense label, a certification promoted by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) assigned to products of low water consumption.

In private homes, the bathroom’s water footprint is of about 50% of the entire home’s footprint and in public bathrooms, the toilet is flushed about 18 times a day. Reducing water consumption in the bathroom has become an ethical priority and an environmental urgency. Water Sense branded items and water systems meet EPA specifications for efficiency and performance and are supported by independent third party certification.

Water Sense products:

– reduce water consumption by 20%;

– are of higher performance and efficiency than the alternatives on the market;

– must pass very strict tests and trials to obtain this certification;

– result in a reduction of water consumption that is measurable and monitored over time through specific control systems;

Ceramica Flaminia, always sensitive to green issues and a harbinger of technological innovations, has faced this new challenge proposing a synthesis of design, functionality and eco-sustainability, meeting the needs of North American users for both contract and private environments.
