MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2026

On the occasion of Milan Design Week, Flaminia returns to Milan with a multi-layered presence unfolding across several locations in the heart of the city, reinforcing its identity within the contemporary bathroom design landscape.
The narrative centers on the historic showroom on Via Solferino — recently renovated with two walls clad in Invictus Cross Beige porcelain stoneware by Ceramica Sant’Agostino —where the company presents Hasu, a new collection of countertop and freestanding washbasins that marks the beginning of its collaboration with Giulio Iacchetti. An industrial designer active since 1992 and a two-time Compasso d’Oro award winner, Iacchetti has long pursued research into new object typologies, with a constant focus on the relationship between craftsmanship and design.
Hasu draws from an Eastern- inspired imagery, already reflected in its name — Japanese for “lotus flower,” a symbol of purity. Like a bud emerging from the surface, the washbasin rises from the plane thanks to a particularly minimal base, developing a soft and welcoming silhouette that naturally extends toward the user.
In the freestanding version, the presence of the column further enhances this vertical tension, transforming the washbasin into a true architectural element. In the floor-
mounted models, the possibility of combining different colours for the basin and the column introduces new compositional freedom.

The collection is completed by three new glossy finishes — Miele, Castagno and Tundra — inspired by the natural world, further expanding the brand’s rich colour palette.

The showroom also features other recent proposals, such as Norma by Elena Salmistraro and Settecento Cut by Giulio Cappellini, in a continuous dialogue between new
introductions and established collections.

The exhibition path extends to Superstudio Maxi, where Flaminia is involved in two installations.
In The City, a district suspended between reality and virtual vision, imagining a future life defined by balance and serenity, the brand contributes to the design of bathroom
environments within a harmonious scenario.
In When Design Becomes Art, a striking multicolour composition of Rocchetto stools by Alessandro Mendini, conceived by Giulio Cappellini and Leonardo Talarico, takes

the form of a true tower, paying tribute to an iconic figure of Italian design.

The narrative continues at the panoramic rooftop of S32, in the Isola district, with the exhibition “Giulio Cappellini & Flaminia: una storia italiana”, dedicated to a long-standing
creative partnership spanning decades. The installation, defined by a clean and graphic language, brings together some of the most representative designs created by Cappellini for the brand, including Acquagrande and Link (designed with Roberto Palomba), alongside the more recent Settecento and Astra, presented in Latte and Carbone finishes. The products are displayed on platforms made with Venezia laminate, designed by the art director for Abet Laminati.
This year also marks the twentieth anniversary of the Miniwash collection: compact washbasins defined by essential lines and reduced thicknesses, embodying a
balance between functionality and aesthetics. For the occasion, Miniwash 40 is reintroduced in a special numbered edition, signed by the designer, in the vibrant Arancio Segnale finish.

With this articulated itinerary, Flaminia reaffirms its commitment to experimentation and innovation, while remaining deeply rooted in its heritage and continuing to
explore new design possibilities for the bathroom.
