Flaminia wins the ADI Booth Award 2023 for the best stand at the Cersaie trade fair. Now in its fourth edition, the prestigious award, established by the Industrial Design Association, selects every year the most interesting installations from the standpoint of image, experience and transmission of the values of the brands taking part in the great Bologna rendezvous.

“A rigorous project that does away with fancy settings and elaborate scenery to restore the product to its leading role. Ten colour compositions engage the visitor while remaining a permeable and open space, in dialogue with what is going on all around. The design of the stand speaks of a well-established brand that continues to invest in research and does not hesitate to display a product for persons with disabilities to state that quality should be for everyone”. This is how the Italian association that established the award, and is known the world over for its prestigious Compasso d’Oro design prize, describes the stand designed by Flaminia’s art director Giulio Cappellini in collaboration with Leonardo Talarico.

Cappellini has designed a space structured like a village to be explored while enjoying an immersive experience. Clad, like the floor, in grey porcelain stoneware, the walls of the boxes are a tribute to the contemporary architecture of the Rising Sun. The design project for the exhibition revolves around a large glass structure in the centre, housing the bar and lounge, and serving as a link to the different sections of the stand whose nuances match the colours of the products on display.

“We are very proud of this recognition, which once again testifies to Flaminia’s commitment and willingness to explore the language of design. The company was a pioneer in conceiving the world of the bathroom as a project, seeking the collaboration of renowned designers, experimenting with the theme of colour applied to bathroom furnishings, and investing in display concepts that engage the visitors while offering them an immersive experience of the brand,” commented Giulio Cappellini, art director of Flaminia.
