In the historic heart of Assisi, DV Suite stems from the restoration and enhancement of a building with a strong identity, reinterpreted through an interior design project that brings the memory of the place into dialogue with a contemporary language. Masonry vaults, parquet flooring and natural stone form the material foundation of the interiors, while bespoke furnishings, essential details and carefully designed lighting help create a sophisticated, intimate and timeless atmosphere. The suite is conceived as a single open space in which the kitchen, the living area with fireplace and the sleeping area flow into one another without rigid divisions, creating a fluid and enveloping sense of living. The bedroom thus becomes an integral part of the space while retaining its own sense of intimacy.
The bathroom is the only exception to this spatial continuity: a more secluded and private space, conceived as a personal spa, where the shower and freestanding bathtub turn the area dedicated to body care into a place of wellbeing and relaxation. The project seeks a measured balance between the existing structure and contemporary design, avoiding sharp contrasts in favour of continuity, proportion and quality of materials. Every element contributes to a coherent whole, in which architecture, interior design, lighting and furnishings converse within a precise design identity. The relationship with the landscape completes the composition: the suite opens onto a private garden overlooking the Assisi valley, establishing a privileged connection between the intimacy of the interiors and the Umbrian landscape.
DV Suite thus expresses a contemporary way of inhabiting history: a place where architecture, materials, light and landscape meet in an essential balance, offering an authentic experience deeply rooted in the character of Assisi.
