Ceramics of the future is the title of the project that involved the second year students of the Product Design course of the IED in Rome and prof. Nicolò Adolini together with the staff of Ceramica Flaminia.
The selected projects have been included in the IED Design Yearbook 2018-2019, the annual collection of the best ideas of the students.
After visiting the industrial plants of Civita Castellana and learning from the Ceramica Flaminia team how the conception and design of the sanitary ware and the various stages of the production process take place, the boys gave space to their creativity and elaborated projects. In particular, they focused on a fundamental piece of furniture in the bathroom: the sink.
The design of the designed washbasins, perfectly in line with the Flaminia style and consistent with the collections already present in the catalog, was welcomed by the company with enthusiasm. The projects, in fact, were then developed on a technical level through cards, renders and prototypes in scale, made with 3D printing.
The collaboration between Ceramica Flaminia and the most important European educational institute for design confirms the company's attention to the new horizons of art and ceramic production.
